Teaching and Learning

Throughout my two years in the education program at Auburn, I have had plenty of opporutnities to write from scratch and teach my own lessons. On the right you will see the format I try to keep in mind when planning.

Below is a link to recent plans I have written and taught this year.

Preview tomorrow’s lesson:

I have had the opportunity through the classes I have taken so far to learn how to draft and teach my own lesson plans. I have created a variety of lesson plans for several different school subjects, some of which include integrated content from other areas to maximize student learning. This aspect of creating lesson plans is important so that connections can be drawn between subjects.

I have learned a variety of teaching strategies and skills that will be useful in my future classroom. In conjunction with teaching strategies, I have learned about the different types of assessments and when to properly use each of them. I have developed assessments for reading lessons as well as a full integrated unit plan.

Examples of my work can be seen through the buttons attached.
